Meet Paul...

🥳Meet Paul.

🏆Oyster’s latest inductee into the “10 Class Club”! 🏆 Everyone ate cake 🍰 and celebrated this massive milestone!

✌️Friend.

Here at Oyster, we “import” our friends. We met Paul while he was visiting our little town (Blue Ridge, GA) from NYC over a decade ago and he thought making a fly rod would be a “cool way to spend a week”.

You know when you meet someone and there is an indescribable familiarity? Well, Paul felt like an old friend from the beginning.

👏Giver.

Fun fact, most of Paul’s 10 handmade rods went to cherished friends and family. At the end of each class, he leaves a name and address for us to ship his rod. I cannot think of a more meaningful gift. 🎁

💛Family.

After 11 years, Paul has witnessed the growth of both our business and our families. We have also had the privilege of getting to know his family - this invaluable connection is the “special sauce” that is immeasurable in our line of work.

😶Famous Last Words

Paul was known for declaring each session as “his last class”. Initially, we believed him. However, by the time class 5 or 6 rolled around 😂, he clearly changed his mind and eventually said, “This is the best week of my year”.

🤍 Paul, if you are reading this…we know you are a private person but we want to tell you this sentiment in a very public manner. 🫣 If clients are Oyster’s lifeline, YOU are the backbone of Oyster. When students attend multiple classes, it pushes us at Oyster. It motivates us to refine our process, strengthen our weaknesses as a business and offer something unique in nature for your return. We TREASURE our time spent with our people and YOU are our people.

🙏 Thank you.

P.S. Please don’t let this be your “last class”. 😭😭😭
