Look close...it’s a bear...if you look closer, you can see that bear’s teeth. Keep in mind this was hand engraved on the side of a fly rod reel seat less than an inch in diameter. Bill showed me this engraving one evening and there was an unusual satisfaction in the tone of his voice. As with most artists, he normally thinks nothing is good enough...but he likes this bear (especially the teeth).
