4th grade STEM sculptures from this morning...after I volunteered Bill to teach “ just a few” classes on entomology related to fly fishing, it has morphed into a full-on program aptly named “Be the Fish”. Bill is a natural born teacher and I cannot think of a more fitting environment to be honing his higher purpose craft of instruction. Over the last six months, these elementary school students have learned (rather enthusiastically I might add) about our aquatic friends, the ecosystem and the sport of fly fishing cultivating an awareness that will hopefully assist to foster a reverence for our waters near and far...This morning was our first March class on the mayfly life cycle. If you teach them...(and have awesome snacks)...they will learn.
