Oyster Bamboo Fly Rod Making Class March 17-22, 2025

🍀Welcome Oyster Bamboo Fly Rod Making Class March 17-22., 2025. This week we have 5 repeats, 5 new students and one student/friend that is with us in spirit. 🍀💫

👑 #27 Classes and counting…all hail, the queen! Kathy is here making a 7’9” 5wt for her newest grandson. He’s a deserving cutie. 🤍

⛰️Ken is a North GA local back for class #3.  He said the class is like an “addiction…a good one”. He’s building a 7’9” 5wt this week. Welcome back, Ken!

🌼Francisco is in tech from California and is here for class #2.  He’s promised to be an annual “repeat offender” at Oyster. 🗓️ We are counting on it. He’s building an 8’ 7wt (sweetest casting rod).

⛰️Joe is building an 8’ 3wt and is from TN …home of the Smokies where he fishes for the beloved the Brook trout. Joe makes bamboo reels so…seems like this is the next best step.

🌊 Mark (from Nashville) is back for class #2. He’s Saltwater rod curious so he’s making an 8’ 7wt for redfish/striper. Welcome back!

🧑‍🧒Tommy is here from Florida with a sweet beard. He building an 8’ 7wt honoring his father. Welcome, Tommy.

🎁 Stan was gifted the class for retirement. He is making an 8’ 7wt for local fishing & Montana. Welcome, Stan and congratulations on your retirement!

🙌🏽 Cliff is here for class #2 from Michigan. He is building a 7’ 9” 5wt this week and “enjoys stepping away from tech and working with his hands.” Welcome back!

✨Rod is here (via ➡️ Columbia ➡️ Georgia). He likes to “do things himself”. Rod should get his fill of self sufficiency this week. He is building a  7’6” 4wt.

🛠️ Ben is here from Weatern NY. He sincerely likes to “putz around with his hands” and has been interested in building for a long time. Ben, you are clearly in the right place.  He is making 7’ 6” 4wt for small western NY streams.

🍀Thank you all for choosing to spend the week at Oyster!🍀 We are all beyond grateful for you all supporting this business and the craft of bamboo fly rod making! 🙏
