"Everyone who takes their first Oyster Bamboo fly rod class gets super enthused as they build their first favorite dream rod. This usually leads to making a few more favorite rods for yourself as you begin the transition to bamboo. The classes are so enjoyable that you eventually make one for your spouse, then your children, and in my case, all of my grandchildren. Luckily I was able to complete this labor of love before Dee’s and my 50th wedding anniversary where the whole family spent the week together at Colorado Trails Ranch fishing with our collection of Oyster fly rod heirlooms. What fun it was to work with each family member to jointly design their rod and then come to class and build them. Now that everyone has their rods, I get to complete my collection and am looking forward to making a 7 foot brookie bamboo rod in my 15th Oyster Bamboo Fly Rod Making Class."
