The beginning of this arduous process usually begins at home where Bill “checks out” during family dinners with an all-to-familiar glazed over look in his eyes…followed by weeks of planning, pacing, sketching, throwing away said sketches, head thumping, plotting, drawing, half engraved practice plates culminating into the first cut on the fly rod reel seat…all wrapped in a bow of tremendous self doubt.
